PARO TSHECHU 2023

Image
As we resume the visit to the Tshechu after three years (2020-2022 we had to watch the tshechu from our respective homes because public gathers have been discouraged due to its highly contagious nature after the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic) the Tshechu of 2023 attracts a crowd in the entire history of Paro. I took this picture from the MC's seat where I sat with a lot of confidence and the enthusiasm to learn a lot. I really worked hard with the believe that I will be able to give my best as I speak in front of thousands.   I  contacted each and everyone that I thought would be able to provide some information that I needed.  I also got the opportunity to extend my social circle. I already have a big social circle, but it is always good to meet people because each and every one that we meet in life has something to provide for us.  I really realized the richness of the Bhutanese culture and was really awestruck by how fascinating it was to explore and get to know the histor

HEALING

Image
Life is a roller coaster and it takes both the sunny days and the stormy days to make a living being grow. We always make sure we celebrate   and cherish good days, but we often take time to learn from the little failures, bad experiences and the tough paths that we travel. In the midst of cherishing good times and learning from the bad days it is also good and very crucial to heal and escape from the places that heal us   We always make sure we celebrate   and cherish good days, but we often take time to learn from the little failures, bad experiences and the tough paths that we travel. In the midst of cherishing good times and celebrating little achievements we need to reflect on our past actions, work for betterment and then hope for a tomorrow with all the positivity. This is a picture I took by the riverside of PACHU when I went to soak my feet in the cool and chilly fast flowing river of Paro after knowing that it is actually good for our mental health and it also helps in making

Women empowerment

Image
Driving is often portrayed as a hazardous profession where only men are considered for the profession. However with the change in time , many women are now taking part in this profession. It's very important for women to know how to   drive because driving offers independence, privacy and security. Driving also promotes a sense of responsibility and independence from having to rely on others. It's very important to empower women and there are many ways to empower women, out of which one could be 'driving'. Knowing how to drive gives women freedom to visit places of their wish and also they don't have to depend on someone. By knowing how to drive a small car to a big truck women can do   equally to what men can. This is one of my friends from whom I actually learn a lot and get inspired and I would like to thank her for everything she did for me. Cheers to Mam steering denka.

In the college green house

Image
The college provided me with a lot of learning experiences besides the academic knowledge. I was always passionate about exploring and experiences that life gave me and I made sure I learn from different activities that I participated in. I took this picture in the college green house on fine morning when three of us went to do the weeding there in the garden. The green house housed home to lettuces, potatoes, broccoli, spinach and few radishes. the journey as a councilor led me to different places starting from green houses to conferences. I really learnt a lot and will make sure to encourage students to take leadership roles as well.

An inspiration

Image
This is a picture that do not just hold the privilege of being with a great person, but also the memories the school buildings hold behind the picture. It so happened with all the excitement and thrill to attend the 50th Foundation of my alma mater, Punakha Central School. Punakha central school is located in Punakha Dzongkhag under Guma gewog. I studied there in the year 2017 and 2018 and completed my 12th grade with lot of learning experiences and values. Despite the grades not meeting my expectation level I made sure that I learnt a lot from each and every learning experience the school provided. Meeting his Excellency the prime minister, Dr. Lotey Tshering is such an inspiring figure in the country and I used to look at him with great awe even when he wasn't the prime minister of Bhutan. Children in the classrooms need to be paid attention to their academics, but at the same time if they have inspiring figures to get motivation from, I am sure that they will do better.

Summary

First of all I would like to thank sir for the wonderful semester which we had with you. From the times we had in the class with sir, I realized a very important value we need to have as teachers and that is HUMANITY. I really learnt how to be humble and will make sure that I will inculcate the values I learnt from sir when I become a teacher. I also would like to thank sir for the blogging experience that we got and I hope I will be able to maintain this in the future as well. to highlight on the the articles sir need to check all the contents I have uploaded and I can also assure that everything I have uploaded are written by myself and nothing is beyond my intellectual capacity. I have made sure that academic ethics have been maintained.

Reflection on use of ICT tool

Image
From all the tools that we learned in ICT class I really enjoyed learning on the use of ICT as a Co-constructive tool. ICT can be used for various purposes such as looking out and searching for information, deliver information and lessons, constructive tool, situating tool and can also be used as a co-constructing tool. There are things which can be done in solitude and successfully. In my life I have always like the idea of coming together with others and interacting with others. After the COVID-19 pandemic it was so difficult for learners to come together and interact because of the highly contagious nature of the virus, but it was so pleasant and astonishing to learn and get to know about how we can actually do co-construction of knowledge and discussion using online platforms such as google docs, google slides, wikipedia, canva, and many other tools. To share one experience on using one of the co-constructing tools, in 2020, I got the opportunity of designing an e-course for Y-PEER

Critical Analysis on Learning experience

Image
From all the interesting and interactive learning sessions with sir I really enjoyed that particular session on how to make a blog. I have seen people do blogging and write up different articles on different topics and matters. I always wondered writers or bloggers did that and I was always captivated by the pick-up lines they used. To cite an example, there was an article that I saw on Facebook and the title of the article said why they hate a particular person. Since that person was actually liked and adored by a lot of people, the curiosity in me sparked and I really wanted to read the article and get to know the reasons. On the contrary, the article just talked about all the positive attributes of that person and then I just knew how a caption can attract readers and audience to our blog articles.  As soon as I got to know about the features and the main use of blog, I was looking at the platform as a self-expression space. I always write a lot of stuff, both useful and non-sensa

Tshechu,2023

As far as my memory is concerned, I always remember myself being fond of going to visit sacred places and to watch festivals. It is going to be a story about how the Paro Tshechu of 2023 will be always engraved in my heart.  The Tshechu of 2023 is the most memorable one.

Reflection on ICT in Education

Image
ICT in Education  Link to the article  https://shorturl.at/nrBJL Gone are the days when Teachers have to look dusty with chalk powder, the students also do not get the chance to be the green board captain, and the tallest student need not get up to wipe the chalk board. All the acknowledge and thanks owe to the modern technology and the people who actually integrated ICT into education. I strongly agree that integration of ICT in education is not just the use of computer and having computer knowledge, but the integration of different technology to make learning as effective as possible.  The 21st century teaching pedagogy requires a lot of collaborative and interactive learning which can be enhanced by the integration of technology. The simple way of teaching; ie the traditional way of teaching and learning where the teacher lectures the whole time and the students listen to him or her won't work with then children of the 21st century. It is mainly because, the children of the 21

I will be missing classes again

As I need to attend a funeral of an uncle who just passed away few days ago,  I will be missing classes again.

Some little things people take for granted

Image
Why are you stressed? What's there to worry boy? Share it to us? It because of the coffee you take. It must be because of the roles you take. It must be because you can't control your mind. It must be just a small change in your emotions You must be strong Don't worry You need to be strong "Tsa wa ra sem en si" meaning that its the mind that is making things up for me. had I been in their situation I would have said it was totally okay to look at things from my perspective without make judgements like this. It is not just the first time that I am feeling this
